How to Choose the Best 2 Seater Egg Chair
Compare weight capacities and base stability
High-capacity options like the OHS Double Egg Chair support up to 240 kg, whereas the 2 Seater Egg Chair with Stand & Cushion and the Double Egg Chair with Stand are rated for a 150 kg dynamic load and 200 kg static load. Base designs also differ between models. Warmiehomy chairs feature a 3/4-U-shaped base with non-slip pads, while the Outsunny Double Hanging Egg Chair uses four long legs and the Double Egg Chair with Stand uses a four-foot steel bracket.
Check how the basket folds for off-season storage
If you plan to store the chair during winter, basket construction matters. The basket on the Warmiehomy Double Hanging Egg Chair folds left and right by loosening a screw, while the Warmiehomy Swing Egg Chair basket folds up and down. Non-folding options like the BIRCHTREE Hanging Egg Chair require permanent space for the full basket structure year-round.
Factor in cushion thickness and fabric treatment
Cushion dimensions and fabrics vary across models. The Olofable Double Hanging Egg Chair features a 5-inch thick plush cushion measuring 48 by 36 inches, whereas Warmiehomy offers seat cushions in 162x105cm or 118x102cm sizes. For outdoor weather protection, the Amopatio Double Egg Chair uses water-resistant, tear-resistant tech fabric, while other models rely on breathable silk-cotton or soft cotton fills.
