How to Choose the Best Xmas Tree Skirt
Fabric mat or rigid upright collar
Flat fabric mats like the BSITSSS Multicoloured Christmas Tree Skirt and the Plush White Snowflake Skirt lay directly on the floor, providing a soft surface for placing presents. Rigid options like the DECO EXPRESS Woven Tree Base Cover or the square Taylor & Brown Dazzling Sequin Collar form a structured ring that fully conceals bulky tree stands and trailing power cords. While flat mats fold into minimal space, rigid collars maintain a neat geometric outline around the base.
Assembly method and off-season storage
The Round Christmas Tree Collar uses 12 interlocking plastic pieces held together with pins, requiring assembly before placement. Panelled designs like the Festive Fix Silver Sequin Skirt and the Wickerfield Foldable Skirt unfold quickly and collapse flat when stored. The three-section Wicker Christmas Tree Skirt uses a metal basket guard frame that dismantles into separate curved panels.
Matching base size to tree height
A 90cm diameter fabric mat such as the 90cm Fluffy Soft White Fluff & Golden Print Skirt fits trees between 4 and 6 feet tall. For larger trees up to 7 feet, the Wickerfield Foldable Collar (60cm wide) or the Wicker Christmas Tree Skirt (57cm wide) provide proportional trunk coverage without swamping smaller rooms.
Buying Guide & FAQ
What is the best xmas tree skirt deal right now?
Our current top-ranked deal is the Wicker Christmas Tree Skirt - Natural Wicker Christmas Tree Trunk Basket Guard - Ideal for Trees 7ft and Below (57cm) at £16.99.
What is the price range for xmas tree skirt?
Across our top 10 picks, prices currently range from £6.99 to £16.99 on Amazon UK.
What is the difference between a fabric xmas tree skirt and a rigid tree collar?
A fabric xmas tree skirt, such as the BSITSSS Multicoloured Skirt or the Plush White Snowflake Skirt, lays flat on the floor around the base. A rigid tree collar, like the DECO EXPRESS Woven Cover or the plastic Round Christmas Tree Collar, stands upright to completely enclose the stand and cables.
How do multi-piece xmas tree skirts assemble?
Assembly depends on the model structure. The Round Christmas Tree Collar uses 12 interlocking plastic panels connected with simple pins. The 90cm Fluffy Soft White Fluff Skirt uses two sticky cloth seam fasteners along its split edge, while the Festive Fix Silver Sequin Skirt features hinged panels that fold open.
Which xmas tree skirt fits a 5ft to 7ft tree?
The Wickerfield Foldable Christmas Tree Skirt and the Wicker Christmas Tree Skirt are sized specifically for trees up to 7ft tall. For trees between 4ft and 6ft, 90cm mats like the 90cm Fluffy Soft White Fluff & Golden Print Skirt offer suitable floor coverage.
Can a wicker xmas tree skirt be stored flat?
Yes, models like the Wickerfield Collar feature two-panel or three-panel collapsible designs made from wicker or water hyacinth that fold flat. The Wicker Christmas Tree Skirt detaches into three separate curved sections. If a two-panel wicker collar arrives slightly oval, pressing the joint areas inward restores its round shape.
What materials are used in these xmas tree skirts?
Options range from sequined polyester fabrics on the Festive Fix Silver Sequin Skirt and Taylor & Brown Square Collar, to double-layer artificial fur on the Plush White Snowflake Skirt, natural woven wicker on the DECO EXPRESS Cover, and durable plastic on the Round Christmas Tree Collar.
