The Levoit Core 600S purchase price is only one part of the comparison. Check the regional model, included filter, replacement availability and the assumptions behind any running-cost figure.
This guide uses manufacturer documents and checked retailer listings. We have not tested filtration, noise or electricity consumption. The hero is an editorial illustration, not an exact product photograph.

Check the UK machine and package
The UK Core 600S manual identifies LAP-C601S-WUK, with a 220–240V supply and 49W rated power. Match the appliance label and retailer package rather than assuming that an overseas Core 600S or 600S-P listing is identical.
At this review, our catalogue search did not establish a matching complete UK Core 600S machine. We therefore feature the checked replacement filter below without implying a full machine-price comparison. Levoit's UK machine page and machine plus replacement-filter set provide manufacturer purchasing references; check their current contents and delivered totals.
The manual lists a filter already installed in the machine. When comparing a bundle, establish whether it adds another replacement filter, rather than counting the installed one twice.
Compare room figures on the same basis
Levoit's UK description quotes 294m² for one air change per hour and 147m² for two. These are different stated turnover rates, not interchangeable room-size promises. Its page also contains other area/CADR figures in images, so use the stated air-change basis and check the current specification for the exact model.
Compare room dimensions and ceiling height as well as floor area. A headline area alone does not establish how quickly a particular room's air will pass through the purifier.
Which filter, and how often?
The checked Core 600S-RF card below is restricted to Levoit UK. Confirm the compatibility statement on the selected listing; a Core 400S filter or a third-party “compatible” product is a different purchasing choice.
The model-specific UK manual says 6–12 months, depending on use and pollution, and describes the indicator as a reminder to inspect the filter. The UK replacement-filter listing instead recommends 6–8 months. The generic UK FAQ says nine months without identifying this model. Follow the instructions for your exact unit and inspect its filter; do not treat one generic interval as guaranteed service life.
The manual distinguishes cleaning the outer pre-filter from replacing the main filter. Use its maintenance instructions rather than assuming the whole filter is washable.
An illustrative ownership budget
Use rated watts ÷ 1,000 × hours per day × 365 × tariff per kWh. At 49W and an illustrative 25p/kWh, eight hours daily calculates to about £35.77 a year; 24 hours calculates to £107.31. These are constant-rated-power calculations, not measured consumption or a current tariff quotation. Fan settings, automatic operation and your tariff change the result.
For filters, an illustrative £70 delivered replacement price gives an annualised allowance of £70 at a 12-month interval, £105 at eight months or £140 at six months. Substitute the current delivered price and the replacement pattern appropriate to your unit. Annualised allowances are budgeting scenarios: the installed filter and timing of later purchases mean first-year cash spending can differ.
Add the actual machine price separately, compare any genuine extra-filter bundle, and recheck stock and delivery before purchase. Sources and the featured filter offer were reviewed on 29 October 2026.
